Breakthrough Contracting was founded on a deep passion for quality home renovations. Our founder’s journey in construction began in 1997, when his family moved to Canada, sparking a lifelong dedication to building and design.
From crafting intricate woodshop projects—including a grandfather clock—to graduating a program in Building Renovation Technology at George Brown College, his expertise has been shaped by both education and hands-on experience.
With a foundation built at Rona’s Contractor Desk, he gained in-depth knowledge of construction materials, costs, and techniques, further refining his skills through personal projects. This led to pivotal roles in the renovation industry, from carpenter to project manager, and eventually working with a boutique custom home builder in Toronto, mastering the art of constructing luxury homes from the ground up.
In 2018, he launched Breakthrough Contracting Inc., dedicated to delivering high-end craftsmanship, stress-free renovations, and exceptional customer service. With years of expertise and a passion for perfection, we transform homes into breathtaking spaces that stand the test of time.
Meet Liam Devlin With over 21 years of experience in the construction industry, Liam is the production force behind Breakthrough Contracting. With his amazing hands-on capability for high-quality craftsmanship, fused with the mental clarity to organize the various and complex aspects of any size project. Through his experiences, Liam is sharp enough to spot potential issues before they arise yet always easy to work with when he’s sharing a joke and a laugh to keep team spirits high. Liam’s career has taken him across the globe, working and living in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. His international experience has equipped him with a diverse skill set, enabling him to tackle any project, from custom homes to managing large-scale renovations and his huge range makes him a welcomed and valuable part of the team.
